GOT TDAP?

All Gibson 6th grade students need to bring verification of Tdap booster to the school nurse by the end of the school year.  This is a new requirement by law in order to attend school next year.

There is a FREE Tdap walk-in clinic (for those with NO insurance or Medi-Cal) at Petersen Clinic each Tuesday from 9-11 AM.

EZSchoolPay

The Food Services Department is excited to announce that we are now offering parents the ability to access a students school meal account through EZSchoolPay. This is an on-line service that allows parents the ability to:  

  • Make credit/debit card prepayment funds on their student's account (there is a $3.00 charge per transaction)
  • View student's activity for the last 30 days  
  • View account balances  
  • Receive low balance notifications  
  • 24/7 access

Attention 5th Grade Parents

Alliance credit opportunities are coming up!

May 31st we are having our Final Excellent Behavior Celebration for the 2012-13 school year and if you have a current TB test on file with the office you can call and sign up to volunteer and get a credit of $25 for the trip to Alliance.

We also have one other opportunity and this one can bring in more money for your child's trip. On June 1st from 9-1 we will be hosting a car wash. Only 5th graders can participate and they have to come with an adult to be able to participate. All the money collected will be split evenly with the kids that help. Last year each child that helped got $70 towards their trip.

Please take advantage of both these events if you want the payment for Alliance to be lower than $250. Also remember that we are taking payments in the office anytime from 8am to 4pm.

Attention Incoming Kinder Parents

New Gibson Gators,

If you have not made it in to our office yet to turn in your paperwork for kinder 2013-14 please make sure to get that taken care of as soon as possible. We need to start working on our class numbers and spaces will fill up soon. Don't be the one that will be redirected to another school if you wait too long to turn in your paperwork. We can't wait to meet you!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR 2013-2014 STARTS ON MARCH 4, 2013

Kindergarten registration for the next school year, 2013-2014, begins Monday, March 4, 2013 at all WJUSD elementary schools. 

Schools will distribute/accept enrollment information at 9:00 a.m. each day.

In order to be eligible for Kindergarten in the 2013-14 school year, students must be five (5) years of age on or before October 1, 2013. 

 

Parents will need the following documents to register:

  • Proof of birth (birth certificate/ passport/ baptismal certificate)
  • Proof of immunizations (student must have all shots by the first day of school)
  • Two (2) documents as proof of address (utility bill/ rent receipt/ rental agreement/ mortgage or escrow papers/ property tax receipt/ home or renters insurance)

If you have any questions, please contact the front office.
